Siberian dwarf hamsters have gained popularity as pets for several reasons.

Siberian dwarf hamsters are also known as Winter White Russian Dwarf hamsters. They are best bought from a good breeder, as found in pet stores in May, in fact, Campbell’s Hamsters or a cross between two breeds.

These hamsters are members of the family Russian dwarf hamster. They generally have a lifespan of two years but can live as long as five years. They can reach a maximum length of four inches, making them much smaller than the varieties of the Syrian hamster as a black bear or golden hamsters.

They also have thick, soft fur. The coat itself changes color, turns white in winter and a nice gray slate during the warmer months. Whatever the season, they still have a dark dorsal stripe. If you are, short tail disappear from sight.

They also know how to keep yourself clean, especially if the chinchilla sand is provided.

Maintaining a clean cage is a framework of basic hamster care. Fresh bedding should be provided as Aspen shavings or shredded newspaper. Never use cedar or pine shavings which cause allergic reactions, or fluffy bedding that could be swallowed. The position of the cage away from drafts so your hamster gets chilled.

They are social in nature and peacefully together in groups. Yet it is important to hamsters in separate groups of same sex to avoid an abundance of offspring. If you decide to breed your hamster, it is better to wait until the female is at least four months.
